One of my very favorite chefs, Seamus Mullen, was featured this month in Food & Wine. In addition to being a world class chef, Seamus also has rheumatoid arthritis. Word on the street is that, since leaving the restaurant Boqueria behind over the summer, he's now working on a cookbook that will be chock full of recipes using what he refers to as 'hero' foods. You can preview a few tasty sounding recipes in the Food & Wine article and read more about his take on why they are especially healthy for us. One of them is for kale chips, something I've become obsessed with the last few months. It's super easy to make, and kale is purportedly one of the best foods one can eat- whether you have RA or not!

I would like to suggest you visit www.roadback.org and look into low dose, long term antibiotic therapy.
There is also a book you can read on the subject. "The New Arthritis Breakthrough, Including Dr. Brown's classic, The Road Back by Henry Scammell"
I can't offer much in the way of info, since I am new to it myself, but I sure wish someone would've told me about it years ago.
Take care,
Gina

HI Gina,
I've heard about antibiotic therapy before, though it's not something I've discussed with my doctor or am interested in trying, so I can't speak to the merits of it one way or another, but I wish you the best of luck!
