...As I have discovered, there can be an upside to having a disease that remains mostly under the radar. When the topic of your disease is one you are trying to avoid, or at least deemphasize in your life, not having something like The Big C makes this a little easier to accomplish. In fact, I have gotten so accustomed to having a D-List disease that when it does pop up publicly, I feel a bit unprepared and taken aback. Read more HERE.
Being single and sick has its challenges- there isn’t always someone around who can help you open bottles, zip up zippers or carry your groceries up a flight of stairs. On the other hand, dealing with being sick on your own allows you to put off worrying about some of RA’s future implications until some undetermined date in the faraway future, particularly when it comes to one subject: how will having rheumatoid arthritis impact my ability to have and care for a baby? And, if you haven't caught it yet, the newest episode of New Way RA with guest and fashion expert Clinton Kelly is up. You can watch a clip here on You Tube, or check out the entire episode at New Way RA.
The weekend is almost here, the weekend is almost here, the weekend is almost here!

Just found your Blog. Interesting stuff here.
Your RA anniversary shoes are so cute! Good for you! I love a fighter!
I was diagnosed with RA some 15 years ago at age 35 and sadly I'm years past being able to wear anything with a heel. Thank God wedges came back in style. That's my only option after flats.
It is a really tough battle. I'm lucky to have a great guy in my life but we RA-ers are on our own, even when partnered. No one can possible understand our pain and it's ever changing, tricky behavior. Heck I barely can!
I join you in saying F*&% RA! I HATE it!
Here's hoping and praying for relief for us all!
I wish you luck and strength on your life journey.
