See me melt away into a puddle of fatigue in the comic strip that goes with my latest RACentral post! There is quite a discussion going on about fatigue in response to this article, too, so if you haven't already, weigh in with your experiences and thoughts!

I'm finally getting around to catching up on the posts I missed while being in Hawaii. This post really hit home.
Fatigue is a huge problem of mine. In fact, I hit the wall about 5 days ago. Even going to lay on the beach was exhausting. Who knew? To add to that, the 11+ hour red eye flying experience I had on Wed/Thurs just about did me in.
The flick of a switch is how mine almost always sets in. One minute I'm fine. The next I'm dragging around 250 lbs weights on all my limbs.
I'm finally starting to have a bit of energy today. Super duper!
Thanks for all the great posts you write Sara!

I am so glad to know that I am not alone! I have been going home to bed at 6 pm every night for 3 days now! It happens to me several times a month; I just sleep all the time. I've had RA for 15 years now and been very fortunate in that I don't have much pain but oh, the fatigue is just overwhelming! When I was on Enbrel it was much better but I almost died from an infection so I have stopped it, so, I am back to the sleeping sickness. I guess its better than death...but not much.

S- sorry that i apparently never responded to this comment! I agree- the fatigue is definitely my most persistent symptom. sigh...
Dana- you are absolutely not alone! scary about enbrel and the infection...that's what I'm on, but so far (knock on wood) have reacted ok. The sleeping sickness is a good moniker for RA! Have you tried anything like acupuncture?
